6th Marking Period Web Quest

Objective: to acquaint the student with the writing of The Crucible and with the activities of the House UnAmerican Activities Committee.

Procedure:

1). Visit web site you find through a search engine.

2) Read through the site to learn about the topic and to be able to pose questions.

3) Compose questions per the Bloom’s Taxonomy hand out or the link to an on-line Bloom’s Taxonomy site.

4) Compose six questions, one of each type per Bloom’s Taxonomy for EACH of the two subjects : Arthur Miller’s The Crucible and the activities 1945 – 1955 of the House UnAmerican Activites Committee.

5) Include the web site URL with each question.

6) Submit the web quest on the due date, Wednesday, May 15 th –no late papers

7) Receive another students question by Friday, May 17th

8) Submit your answers on Friday, June 6th. – no late papers

The questions MUST be formulated from the taxonomy; they need not be the most difficult questions, BUT simple factual questions such as “What was Arthur Miller’s second wife’s name” (Marilyn Monroe) are NOT appropriate. The objective is THINKING and research.
