Argumentation
Taking Sides

This "game" is a fun and easy way to see where each class member stands on an issue. There are but two rules and the procedure is easy:

1. We all congregate in the central area to begin (belongings are to be left at the periphery of the room).
2. I will pose a situation, giving as much background as I think necessary to decide one the question.
3. I will then make a statement.
4. Depending on how each student feels (not on where his/her friends are going or where that cute guy is headed) she/he will move to one of the positions.
5. Each will be ready to explain why he/she is there.

RULES:
A. No one can move while someone is speaking.
B. No one may use the word "you."
