Please sign up for two positions each.
Advertising Team: Members must be personable, good promoters, and
be able to communicate in person and by phone with people in the community.
They will have responsibility for contacting and soliciting support or advertising
for the Class CD project. When successful, they will secure suitable ad slicks
for inclusion in the sponsor section of the CD. Four members are needed.

Ad Production Team: Members must be able to operate a scanner and
software, Photoshop and Power Point programs. They will be responsible for
placing sponsor ad slicks in the sponsor portion of the Class CD. Two members
are needed.

Editorial Team: Members need strong editorial and people skills. Must
be able to work with a word processor and learn to format text on Power Point.
They must be able to identify errors in grammar, punctuation, capitalization,
syntax and word usage. They must be able to communicate with writers to correct
and edit the work. Five members are needed who will each work with five to
six writers.

Page Design Team: Members need graphic design sensibility and skills,
and must be able to learn to use Photoshop and Illustrator programs. The team
is responsible for generating page designs for approval by the class. The
team will refine an approved design and install the design on Power Point.
The design includes backgrounds, lettering, placement of elements including
photos, names, text and navigation elements. Two or three members are needed.

Cover Design Team: Members need graphic design sensibility and imagination,
and must be able to learn to use Photoshop and Illustrator programs. The team
is responsible for designing and generating the CD cover illustration in conjunction
with the Label Team. Two or three members are needed.

Label Team: Members need graphic design sensibility and imagination,
and must be able to learn to use Photoshop, CD Labeler and Illustrator programs.
The team is responsible for designing and generating the CD cover illustration
in conjunction with the Label Team. Two or three members are needed.

Management Team: Members need strong organizational, interpersonal
and communication skills, and must be committed to getting the project finished.
They will be responsible for the overall development, creation, assembly,
production, and distribution of the Class CD. They will create the timetable,
oversee the work of all other teams, insure proper completion of all tasks
and encourage each team in performing its duties. The team is composed of
the Editor, Assistant Production Edtior, (APE) and Assistant Technology Editor
(ATE). Very strong computer skills are required for the ATE; the APE must
be willing and able to assume the Editor's duties. Three members are needed.

Photography Team: Members must be able to set up for and take good
digital photo portraits, to process the portraits in Photoshop and place them
on Power Point pages. They must have good artistic judgment and color sensitivity
as well as the ability to learn the photo programs. Two members are needed.

Sound Team: Members need to be able to reliably record voice-overs
for and place them on the pages designed by the Page Design Team. They must
be able to operate the PC sound recorder program, recording setting programs
and to be able to properly store these files. Two or three members are needed.

Program Assembly Team: Members must possess computer file management skills, must know or learn Power Point presentation set up and animation utilities, and must have fine detail management skills. They will assemble all elements of the presentation including timing, animation, ordering and final proofing of the pages. This team will assemble the table of contents and make all links within the presentation. Three or four members are needed.

Production Team: Team members must be able to work cooperatively, carefully
and methodically. They must be able to, or learn to, operate a CD burner and
program, apply preprinted labels, and assemble the labeled CDs and cover in
a diamond case. The team is also responsible for orderly distribution of the
CD to students and sponsors. Five or six members are needed.
