The Comparison Paper

Requirements:

Must be typewritten, 12 pt font (preferably Times New Roman), double spaced.

Use Bibliographic citation style

Include a bibliography for ALL works read in relation to the subject.

Length will vary but I cannot conceive of a paper less than 1,500 words (5 to 7 full pages).

Quotations may occupy only 10 to 15% of the space of any one page (30 to 45 words) - this is your work.

Guidelines

Carefully link ideas YOU have about the two books.

DO NOT summarize the plots or characters EXCEPT in a direct effort to compare.

If works are ALIKE, concentrate on showing what differs in them, yes, how they are distinguished.

If works are DISSIMILAR, concentrate on their commonality, yes, how they are similar.
