Homework: Read Scenes 1-3 of A Streetcar Named Desire. Develop a character list in two columns: what does the character do/say AND how does that tell us who they are? I will collect your chart for credit.

: Reading and commentary on A Streetcar Named Desire. Emphasis on CHARACTER.
Information -
Homework: Read Scenes 4-7 of A Streetcar Named Desire. Name three themes you have found in Streetcar, and trace their development through the scenes you read. How does Williams develop each?

Homework: Read Albee's The Goat, or Who is Sylvia? Develop some ideas on the themes Albee brings to the reader. What are the themes? Are they important? How do they apply to people you know?
