Objective: Students will "relearn" vocabulary and principles of responding to poetry.
Activity
: Review final exam; review Titanic and Convergence of the Twain.
Information - Greek theater and tragedy. Mr. Jollymore visits Hillsdale High School tomorrow for the restructuring committee report forthcoming.
Homework: Read Greek Drama p. 1294 - 1296 and Greek Tragedy p. 1296-1298 as well as much of Oedipus as possible beginning with the introduction p. 1299. .

Wednesday -
Objective: Students will learn the features of Greek Drama.
Activity
: Students will read Oedipus the King, p. 1299 ff and apply the learning from previous readings to the text of the play, all under the direction of Mr. Morgante.
Information -
Homework: Read the play in order to answer question 2, 3, 4 on page 1341. BRING YOUR FEES FOR AP TESTS. WE WILL VISIT THE BANK AS NECESSARY. REMEMBER TO BRING THE CHECK! Read Aristotle's On Tragic Character, p. 1379 ff.


Thursday -
Objective:Students will learn the features of AP prompts based on plays.

:Read and study five prompts which ask for responses to plays.
Information - PAY FEES FOR AP TEST.

Homework: Finish reading Oedipus - a partner to read aloud helps very much. Complete the question 1 - 9 (2-4 should already be done and submitted). Bring Friday. Read Freud's On the Oedipus Complex, p. 1381

Friday -
Objective: Students will learn the features of Greek Drama.
Activity
: A final reading of Oedipus the King. Review the question.
Information -
Homework: Read Antigone - p. 1343-1378. Do questions 2-8, p. 1378. Submit answers Monday.
